In the Presence of Giants

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to trees. Ancient and enduring, they stand as witnesses to the passage of time, their roots anchored in histories we can only imagine. I rarely pass a great tree without pausing—drawn to its presence, compelled to trace the textures of its bark and contemplate the world it has known since it first emerged as a sapling.

The works that follow are a reflection of that fascination. They explore trees not simply as subjects, but as sentinels of place, memory and resilience. Through them, I consider the stories held within their branches, the lives they shelter, and the enduring connections that bind all living things within an ever-changing landscape.
