Commissions

Are you considering a one of a kind piece of art?
Each year I accept a limited number of commissions to ensure every piece receives the depth of attention, reflection, and craftsmanship it deserves. Working this way allows me to honour both the process and the people entrusting me with their vision.
A commissioned artwork is a shared journey. Unlike acquiring an existing work, a commission invites you into the creative process. Together we choose the right size, colours and explore where your idea might lead.

How the Process

So you are interested but want to know more about how the Commission Process Works?

Initial Enquiry, Begin by reaching out via the form on the bottom of this page.

Discussion to define details, Next is having a chat to discuss your idea. This step may include a bit of back and forth to allow us to come to an idea you feel excited about.

Proposal & Deposit, Following our discussion, I prepare a written proposal outlining concept direction, dimensions, key colours, timeframe, and investment. A 40% deposit secures your place in my commission calendar and allows work to begin.

Creation, The artwork is developed in my Perth Hills studio using layered encaustic techniques. During this stage, I may share progress images where appropriate, while still allowing space for the organic evolution that is integral to working with wax and fire.

Completion & Delivery, Once complete, the final balance is due prior to collection or delivery

Timeframes, Commissions typically need 3–10 weeks depending on scale and complexity. Retreat periods and exhibition preparation may extend this timeline, so early enquiry is recommended.
